Prime Video unveils the trailer for The Grand Tour: One For The Road. Launching globally from September 13th only on Prime Video.
Prime Video has revealed the trailer for ‘The Grand Tour: One For The Road,’ the final episode of the series featuring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. This episode will launch exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories on the 13th of September. The Grand Tour is the world’s biggest and best show about three middle-aged men travelling around doing cool things and arguing. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May rampage around the world driving the best and most exciting cars in the most epic and most interesting landscapes and then having a petty argument until one of them falls over.
ABOUT THE FINALE
In their last-ever Grand Tour adventure, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May ignore Mr Wilman’s instruction to drive EVs down a grey British motorway and go rogue, heading to Zimbabwe in three glorious cars they’ve always wanted to own; a 1982 Lancia Montecarlo, a 1974 Ford Capri 3-litre and a 1974 Triumph Stag. There, they embark on a classic road trip through some of the most stunning landscapes they’ve ever encountered, winding through lush mountains, spearing across dry planes, cruising down beautiful boulevards, breezing past elephants and giraffes, and taking their chances crossing a crocodile-infested lake on three unusual car-carrying boats.
Despite their best efforts to make this last outing a relaxing and agreeable meander between extremely pleasant hotels, the three can’t avoid some typical road trip challenges, starting with the need to take care of the terrible backup car dispatched at short notice by a disgruntled Mr Wilman. Beyond that, their patience is tested by brutally rough terrain, mechanically misbehaving cars, moments of map-reading incompetence and the terrifying prospect of crashing, drowning or breaking a nail on the complicated retractable roof of Jeremy’s Lancia. As if that wasn’t enough to get their ageing hearts racing, a brush with unsmiling customs officers also makes them regret the decision to enhance their cars with locally mined, bargain-priced silver.
AN EMOTIONAL FAREWELL
After arriving at the fabulous Victoria Falls, the trio decide to dodge some car-breaking local roads with an ingenious detour down a railway line and soon find themselves on familiar ground, crossing the border into Botswana. Here they encounter two dear friends from a former life and decide, just for old times’ sake, to visit their favourite location from 20 years of travelling the world, where they say an emotional farewell to their lives together on The Grand Tour.
The race to the final finish line is on when The Grand Tour: One For The Road launches exclusively on Prime Video worldwide on Friday, 13th of September.
