PREMISE
After undergoing surgery for a new start in life, Edward, a man with neurofibromatosis, becomes fixated on another man playing him in a stage production based on Edward’s former life. Edward undergoes a radical medical procedure to drastically transform his appearance. It sounds like his pursuit of a new dream has taken a dark turn, leading to an obsession with regaining what he once had. This shift from aspiration to fixation can be quite unsettling. What happens next in his story?

Sebastian Stan won the Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance at the Berlin International Film Festival for his performance as Edward in the film.
