MUBI’s multiple-award-winning audio-documentary series MUBI Podcast returns for its seventh season on 14 November. New episodes will be released on Thursdays over six weeks. Season 7, titled Box Office Poison, tells the story of six films that were notorious financial disasters but have come to be celebrated as visionary.
Inspired by the new book of the same name (Box Office Poison) by Tim Robey. The film critic for The Telegraph, host Rico Gagliano uses Robey’s research and insights as a springboard to tell the wild stories of these films’ rise, fall, and rise. Guests include Roger Deakins (The Shawshank Redemption, Blade Runner 2049). James Cromwell (Babe, Succession). Rebecca Hall (The Prestige). Jamie Demetriou (Fleabag). And Tim Robey himself as a recurring featured guest.
