Early next year, America’s Ass is back! But now, he comes in the form of Anthony Mackie. Captain America: Brave New World sees the actor play the character for the first time on the big screen after making his debut at the climax of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier in the Disney+ series. After the debut of the first trailer, all eyes were on when we would get a new look at the film. At the D23 Brazil Expo, we got our brand new look at what lies in store for us on February 14th, 2025. Suit up and grab your shields as we enter a Brave New World.
PREMISE
Following the election of Thaddeus Ross as the president of the United States, Sam Wilson finds himself at the center of an international incident and must work to stop the true masterminds behind it.
THE CAST
Joining Anthony Mackie in the film are Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres / Falcon. Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph. Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley. Giancarlo Esposito as Seth Voelker / Sidewinder. Liv Tyler as Betty Ross. Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns / Leader. Xosha Roquemore as a Secret Service agent. And Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross / Red Hulk, replacing the late William Hurt in the role. Additionally, Takehiro Hira appears as Prime Minister Ozaki while Seth Rollins and Rosa Salazar also appear in as-yet-undisclosed roles.
The film is directed by Julius Onah from a script written by the writing team of Malcolm Spellman Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton. Laura Karpman supplies the score for the film, continuing her association with Marvel after her music for What If?, Ms. Marvel, and The Marvels. The movie is produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore.
