Experience the anticipation of Andor Season 2 as Captain Cassian Andor’s story unfolds. Don’t miss this exciting Star Wars series exclusively on Disney+.
The rumors were true. After news emerged of a potential release date for Star Wars: Andor Season 2, Lucasfilm has officially put us out of our misery and set a date in carbonite. Emerging from lightspeed onto Disney+ on April 22nd, Andor Season 2 will reunite us with the legendary Captain Cassian Andor. What’s more, the series is getting a fresh new title, bringing it in line with the other expanded projects; it will be titled Andor: A Star Wars Story. The series, consisting of twelve episodes, will unfold over the years leading up to “Rogue One,” exploring the journey of Cassian Andor as he moves toward the courageous deeds depicted in the beloved first Star Wars story.

While Season 1 followed a year in Cassian Andor’s life set about five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the forthcoming episodes will bridge the remaining gap. Covering four years told in three-episode arcs, Andor Season 2 follows Cassian as he evolves into a leader for the emerging Rebel Alliance. Cassian may have been a reluctant hero before, but the Andor we’ll meet next year is fueled by a higher purpose in the fight for freedom against the Empire.
TITLE TREATMENT
Alongside the announcement, the studio unveiled the official title design for the second season, highlighting the newly selected title. While this sudden change may come as a surprise, it’s exciting to see the series aligned with the rest of the expanded saga. Before we head back to Yavin 4, take a moment to check out the new logo below.

RELEASE
It’s disappointing that footage from the new season won’t be available on public platforms, but it’s exciting to have a confirmed release date. The first season was a major hit among fans, so the prospect of twelve new episodes is undoubtedly something to look forward to. However, the big question remains: can these new episodes provide the perfect conclusion for Cassian? Tune in to Disney+ on April 22nd to find out!
