Jeremy Allen White Joins The Cast Of The Mandalorian And Grogu

The Mandalorian And Grogu Wraps Filming!

Jeremy Allen White is swapping the kitchen for the galaxy far, far away to voice Rotta The Hutt in The Mandalorian and Grogu.

The Mandalorian And Grogu is moving along the assembly line at Lightspeed. Just weeks after principal photography on Jon Favreau’s major motion picture officially wrapped, the studio has confirmed that Jeremy Allen White has joined the cast. The Bear star has been cast as the voice of Rotta The Hutt, Jabba’s son from The Clone Wars movie, and joins Hollywood icon Sigourney Weaver in her debut in the GFFA. According to Variety, Lucasfilm has moved quickly to secure White’s services after his successful spell in The Bear.

Jeremy Allen White has joined the “Star Wars” film “The Mandalorian & Grogu” as the voice of Jabba the Hutt’s son, Rotta the Hutt, Variety has confirmed. The project marks the first major franchise for the actor following his Emmy-winning breakout role on the FX series “The Bear.”

White is currently shooting the Bruce Springsteen biopic “Deliver Me From Nowhere” with writer-director Scott Cooper. He first rose to prominence for his performance as Philip “Lip” Gallagher on the long-running Showtime series “Shameless.” But his role on “The Bear” as Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, the New York City chef who moves back to Chicago to take over his late brother’s restaurant, launched White as a bona fide star, winning him back-to-back Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG awards.

Details about the film’s plot remain scarce. However, the recent presentation at the D23 Expo provided us with our best glimpse yet. The showcased footage, which hasn’t been made public yet, highlighted a stunning assortment of Star Wars elements. The teaser revealed the revamped Razor Crest piloted by Zeb from Star Wars Rebels and a sneak peek of an icy planet, likely Hoth. This was followed by an astounding reveal of an Imperial Ice Base bustling with Imperial Snow Troopers.

Get ready for the thrilling climax: Din Djarin is set to ride a Clone Wars-era AT-RT down a snow-covered mountain, charging headfirst into battle against a squad of Imperial AT-AT Walkers. This film promises to be an epic spectacle, without a doubt.
