Daisy Ridley unleashes her inner action hero in the upcoming Sky Original thriller, Cleaner, which hits Sky Cinema in 2025.
Move over, John McClane, because Daisy Ridley is bringing back that Die Hard vibe for a new crowd in the thriller Cleaner. In this flick, the Star Wars star finds herself in a serious jam when a bunch of terrorists take over the building she’s cleaning. Good thing Ridley’s got a background as a soldier, so she knows how to handle herself in tough spots. The catch? She’s hanging out 50 stories up, outside a London skyscraper, cleaning windows.
The film is the latest offering from Casino Royale director Martin Campbell and co-stars Taz Skylar (One Piece, Boiling Point) and Golden Globe® winner Clive Owen (Closer, Inside Man), who serves as the main antagonist. It was written by Matthew Orton, Simon Uttley, and Paul Andrew Williams. The film looks exceptional and promises to kick start 2025 off with a bang. So, let’s scroll down and hit play on the trailer.
SYNOPSIS
After a group of criminal activists take over an energy company’s annual gala to expose their corruption, their just cause is hijacked by an extremist who is ready to murder everyone in the building to send out his anarchic message. It falls to an ex-soldier turned window cleaner (Ridley) – suspended 50 storeys up on the outside of the London skyscraper – to save those trapped inside, including her younger brother.
