PREMISE

Following a secret shooting, the film’s announcement resulted in threats of harsh punishment. And lengthy jail terms from the Iranian government forcing some cast and crew to leave the country. They continue to live in exile.

Filmed in secret, the plot centres around Iman. Iman works as an investigating judge at the Revolutionary Court in Tehran. As nationwide political protests against the authoritarian government escalate, he feels surrounded by suspicion and paranoia. When one day his gun mysteriously disappears, Iman suspects his wife Najmeh and his daughters Rezvan and Sana of having something to do with it. He begins to impose drastic measures at home. Which increases tensions in the family. Soon, social norms and the rules of family life are suspended.
