Emelia Perez, The Wild Robot, The Substance, The Apprentice, and Wicked all get nominated for the 2025 Oscars. Who will win an Academy Award?
The nominations for the 2025 Academy Awards are in. And it is a historic year. The 2025 Oscars have given Emelia Perez 13 nominations, the most for a non-language film ever. Elsewhere, Wicked picks up nominations including Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress amongst its 10 nominations. The Brutalist also gets 10 nominations. A Complete Unknown and Conclave both get eight nods. Anora manages to snag 6 nominations. Dune Part Two and The Substance both grab 5 nods. While Nosferatu manages to scare up 4 nominations.

Also nominated movies include The Wild Robot (3 nominations), I’m Still Here (3 nominations), Maria, The Apprentice, Nickel Boys, Alien: Romulus, Better Man, and Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes. Denis Villeneuve (Best Director) and Margaret Qualley (Best Supporting Actress) are among those who miss out on being nominated while Challengers has also been omitted from the nominations list. Other films that missed out completely are Blitz. Furiosa. Babygirl. Juror #2. Longlegs. Civil War. We Live In Time. The Piano Lesson. Transformers One. I Saw The TV Glow and shockingly, Madame Web (I’m joking about that one, of course!)
