THE UK TOP TEN TITLES

This week, we see one new entry and two re-entries into the chart. To make way for these titles, it is the end of the road for Terrifier 3, The Substance, and The Wizard Of Oz. But where have these titles entered into the chart? Step back into the chart arena as we find out.

GLADIATOR II MAKES IT TWO WEEKS AT THE TOP!

Gladiator II triumphs in the arena for a second week, retaining its position at the top of the Official Film Chart. The Ridley Scott-directed historical epic – starring Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal – recently picked up an Oscar nomination for Best Costume Design, while it’s up for three nods at this year’s BAFTAs, including Best Film.

WICKED HOLDS FIRM AT NUMBER TWO!

Another big Oscar hopeful – and former Number 1 – Wicked keeps at Number 2 this week. The blockbuster musical adaption scored a magnificent 10 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actress for Cynthia Erivo and Best Supporting Actress for Ariana Grande.

THE WILD ROBOT SCOOTS UP A PLACE!

Another Oscar hopeful, The Wild Robot, moves up a place to Number 3.

VENOM’S LAST DANCE ISN’T OVER!

Venom: The Last Dance proves it hasn’t finished waltzing in the chart as it dances up five places to Number 4.

CONCLAVE SEES BLACK SMOKE!

Conclave, up for Best Picture and Best Actor for Ralph Fiennes, drops two places to Number 5.

THE CHART IS SMILING AGAIN!

Despite its lead actress Naomi Scott being shut out of awards contention, horror sequel delight Smile 2 re-enters the Top 10 at a brand-new peak at Number 7. It previously reached Number 10 earlier this month.

ALIEN: ROMULUS IS DRIFTING IN CHART SPACE!

Alien: Romulus, which has a nod for Best Visual Effects, drifts a place to Number 7.

DUNE PART TWO BLOWS INTO THE CHART AGAIN!

Best Picture nominee Dune: Part Two gets blown back into the chart at Number 8.

GRU AND THE MINIONS GET DESPICABLY PUSHED DOWN!

Despicable Me 4 gets pushed down this week by four places to Number 9.

SMALL THINGS LIKE THESE ENTERS THE CHART!

Finally, Small Things Like These is this week’s highest new entry at Number 10. The historical drama stars Cillian Murphy, and is based on the Irish Magdalene Laundries, which were run to house ‘fallen women’ from the 18th to the late 20th centuries.

WILL YOU JOIN THE HUNT ALONGSIDE KRAVEN?

And that rounds out this week’s top ten titles. This week’s offering on PVOD is the Sony Pictures addition to the Spider-Man Universe (SSU), Kraven The Hunter. The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the title role, alongside Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott, and Russell Crowe. The film explores Kraven’s relationship with his father and his path to becoming the greatest hunter. Sadly, the film opened to negative reviews from critics and was a box office failure. However, if you feel like joining Kraven on his latest hunt, rent it for £15.99 or buy it early for £19.99.
