As we approach the finale of Cobra Kai, the next chapter in the long-running Karate Kid franchise is lumbering up to hit screens worldwide this summer. Starring Jackie Chan, the original star Ralph Macchio and introduces the young actor, Ben Wang. Karate Kid: Legends will be hoping to kick the rest of the summer blockbusters’ asses at the box office. The film will open on May 30th. The first trailer debuted recently. PREMISE
After a family tragedy, kung fu prodigy Li Fong is uprooted from his home in Beijing and forced to move to New York City with his mother. When a new friend needs his help, Li enters a karate competition – but his skills alone aren’t enough. Li’s kung fu teacher Mr. Han enlists original Karate Kid Daniel LaRusso for help. And Li learns a new way to fight, merging their two styles into one for the ultimate martial arts showdown.
The film will be kicking into cinemas on May 30th.
