From acclaimed Japanese animation studio CloverWorks, pop idol drama Trapezium is now streaming only on Crunchyroll.
We have your anime fix for the week. Indeed, Trapezium, the latest film from acclaimed studio CloverWorks, is available now only on Crunchyroll. It is directed by Masahiro Shinohara (Re: ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3 Counterattack Arc), written by Yuko Kakihara (Buddy Daddies; Blue Box), and produced by CloverWorks (SPY x FAMILY). The film is based on the original novel by Kazumi Takayama and follows high school student Yu Azuma, who will do whatever it takes to become an idol.
She’s even sworn to stay off social media and promises not to get a boyfriend. Ready to make her dream a reality, she finds three other girls from the four corners of her prefecture to form an idol group. But the road to stardom hides unexpected trials that threaten to undo all she’s worked for.
VOICE CAST
The voice cast includes Asaki Yuikawa (The Elusive Samurai), Hina Youmiya (BanG Dream! It’s MyGo!!!!!), Reina Ueda (Solo Leveling), and Haruka Aikawa (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). You can watch the trailer below:
Trapezium has a 95-minute runtime. The opening theme is “Wannabe,” performed by MAISONdes (feat. Hoshimachi Suisei & Sakuma). The end theme is “HoiJishin,” performed by the cast as their characters: Yu Azuma (Asaki Yuikawa), Kurumi Okawa (Hina Youmiya), Ranko Hanatori (Reina Ueda), and Mika Kamei (Haruka Aikawa).
