THE UK TOP TEN
This week, we see two new entries and one re-entry into the chart placings. As usual, we must lose three titles to make space for these new and returning titles. As such, it is the end of the chart road for Bridget Jones’s Baby, Bridget Jones’s Diary, and The Super Mario Bros Movie. We also have a brand-new number-one title. What could it be? Grab your running shoes as we find out.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 3 SPEEDS STRAIGHT TO THE TOP!

In the film, Sonic, Knuckles and Tails reunite to fight Shadow the Hedgehog, a mysterious and impossibly powerful new villain. Outmatched in every ability, Team Sonic teams up with an unlikely party to try and stop Shadow and protect the planet.

ARE YOU A HERETIC?
A big new entry this week, the psychological horror film Heretic stars Hugh Grant as antagonist Mr Reed, who draws two young Mormon missionaries into a deadly game of cat-and-mouse inside his home when they knock on his door during their rounds. It enters the chart at Number 10.

WHY NOT GRAB THIS YEAR’S OSCAR CHAMPION?
After this past weekend’s Academy Awards, the big winner was the comedy Anora. The film managed to snag five awards, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actress for Mikey Madison. The actress stars as Anora Mikheeva, a stripper who marries the son of a Russian oligarch, played by Mark Eydelshteyn. It was named one of the top ten films of 2024, backed up by the numerous awards the film has won. If you feel like having an evening with Anora, grab the film on digital download for £11.99.

That marks the end of this week’s top ten biggest-seeling titles. Can Sonic hold onto the top spot next week? Expect to see some of the currently available Oscar-winning films make their debut or return to the chart next week. So, until then…
