There’s no cult like celebrity. That’s the tagline for the upcoming A24 movie, Opus. The film is playing in theaters now. Written and directed by Mark Anthony Green, the film is a thriller. The cast for the film includes Ayo Edebiri, John Malkovich, Juliette Lewis, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder, Stephanie Suganami, Young Mazino, and Tatanka Means. THE PREMISE
A young writer, (Ayo Edebiri), receives an invitation to the remote estate of a legendary pop star, (John Malkovich), who mysteriously vanished thirty years ago. Surrounded by the star’s cult of sycophants and intoxicated journalists, she finds herself in the middle of his twisted plan.
