Are you ready to uncover The Legend Of Ochi? A24 will release the captivating fantasy adventure on February 28th, 2025. The film features a talented cast including Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson, Finn Wolfhard, and Helena Zengel, and marks the directorial debut of Isaiah Saxon. Today, the film’s first trailer was unveiled, inviting us to explore the legend.
PREMISE
Yuri, a young girl from a secluded village in the north, is warned never to wander outside after dusk and to remain cautious of the enigmatic forest inhabitants known as the Ochi. When she discovers a young ochi abandoned by its group, she embarks on an epic journey to return it to its kin.

FILMING
The film crew shot several scenes in Transylvania, specifically in the Apuseni Mountains, at Bâlea Lake, and along the Transfăgărășan road. They began production in Romania and continued at the Castel Film Studios. Although they wrapped up filming in December 2021, it took nearly four years for the film to debut in cinemas.
The Legend Of Ochi will open on February 28th, 2025.
