New Thunderbolts Character Posters Emerge From Marvel Studios

The new teaser for Marvel’s Thunderbolts cracks across the sky, telling us that being the hero, there’s no higher calling!

Avengers Assemble? No! They’ve all gone! This team ain’t no heroes! Coming on May 2nd from Marvel Studios is the big-screen version of Thunderbolts*. The film has been on the table for a number of years, and now it is gearing up to blow the summer 2025 box office apart. Some of those anti-heroes we have seen and, in some cases, loved even though we shouldn’t in Marvel Movies over the past few years are back to wreak mayhem.

The cast for the movie, an anti-Avengers if you like, features Sebastian Stan, Hannah John-Kamen, Wyatt Russell, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Olga Kurylenko, Harrison Ford, Lewis Pullman, and Geraldine Viswanathan. The new teaser trailer has thundered across the sky! Let’s take a look:

PREMISE

Valentina Allegra de Fontaine traps a group of antiheroes and forces them into a dangerous mission that, if they unite as a team, could bring them redemption.

WHO IS PLAYING WHO

Sebastian Stan is Bucky Barnes/ The Winter Soldier. Hannah John-Kamen is Ava Starr / Ghost. Wyatt Russell is John Walker / U.S. Agent. Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova/ Black Widow. David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian. Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov / Taskmaster. Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. Lewis Pullman as Bob / Sentry. And Geraldine Viswanathan as Mel, de Fontaine’s assistant. Laurence Fishburne and Rachel Weisz are expected to return to their roles as Bill Foster and Melina Vostokoff, respectively.

Jake Schreier directed the movie, which was written by Eric Pearson, Lee Sung Jin, and Joanna Calo. It is based on Kurt Busiek and Mark Bagley’s Marvel comic book Thunderbolts. Kevin Feige is handling the production duties.

They are Not Super. Not Heroes. Not Giving Up when Thunderbolts* opens on May 2nd, 2025.
