THE UK TOP TEN

This week sees another shift in the chart. We see one new entry and four re-entries into the placings. As such, we bid farewell to The Substance, Paddington In Peru, Babygirl, Anyone But You, and Kill Bill-Vol. 1. But what are these five titles, and where have they entered? Turn the page in your diaries as we take a look at a new week.

WE CAN’T GET ENOUGH BRIDGET!

We’re mad for Bridget! Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, the fourth and final film in the series, secures a second week atop the Official Film Chart. The Michael Morris-directed movie, adapted from Helen Morris’ 2013 novel of the same name, sees Bridget (Renée Zellweger) navigate love, loss and life as a single parent.

ITS A BRAVE NEW WORLD FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA!

The fourth film in the franchise and the first not to star Chris Evans, Captain America: Brave New World is the top pick on PVOD this week. The film Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Captain America alongside Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Xosha Roquemore, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford. In the film, Wilson investigates a conspiracy involving U.S. president Thaddeus Ross. Box office takings for the film were $414.1 million worldwide. Now, that sounds like a huge amount, but it wasn’t in the takings range as expected. Instead of being nearer to the $1 Billion range, it is being described as a misfire and a box office disappointment. If you want to watch the film over the Easter weekend, you can rent it for £15.99 or buy it early for £19.99.

Next week, it is a straight-up fight between Bridget Jones and Captain America for chart supremacy. Who will come out on top? I’m going for Captain America, but I could be wrong. To find out if I am, come back next week to discover the truth. So, until next time…

Whatever you decide, whatever you buy, stay safe, be kind, look after each other, and happy viewing!! And have a very happy Easter!
