Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the first look at Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir in the upcoming live-action series, and it looks incredible!
Aside from delivering one of the greatest superhero movies of all time, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduced Spider-Man Noir to mainstream audiences, voiced by the exceptional Nicolas Cage. The character instantly became a fan favorite, and many fans called for more adventures with the shadowy wall-crawler. A few months back, we caught wind of Amazon MGM Studios giving the green light to a live-action series based on the character. With Nicolas Cage back to reprise his role as the wall-crawling detective, the series has all the makings of an instant classic.
However, fans wondered how the black-and-white comic book animation medium would translate to live-action. Today, the studio has put us out of our misery by revealing our first look at the character in all his glory, and it looks spectacular. But before we web-sling through the black-and-white streets of New York, check out the character reveal below.

BLACK AND WHITE BRILLIANCE
As you can see from this first image, Amazon MGM Studios has delivered the definitive look of the character for this series. Spider-Man Noir looks perfect and will be instantly recognisable by the legions of Spider-Verse fans the studio is banking on to make the show a smash hit—and who would bet against it! It has also been confirmed that the series will be released in both color and black-and-white formats, allowing fans to experience the show depending on their preference.
This represents another masterstroke by Amazon/MGM. The studio is handling this IP with the utmost care, and it can only add weight to the other colossal franchises the studio has under its umbrella. Suppose this is the approach the studio intends to take with the James Bond and RoboCop franchises. In that case, fans can rest easy knowing the studio is working tirelessly to bring the definitive versions of these characters to life. But the proof will be in the pudding. On that note, hit play on the video below to enjoy the first teaser.
