Hot Toys has delivered our first look at the updated Predator figure from John McTiernan iconic franchise originator. If it bleeds, we can kill it!
With TWO new Predator movies launching this year, Hot Toys has dug into its archive and updated the classic Predator Jungle Hunter figure from John McTiernan’s iconic franchise originator. The impressive new Predator figure features updated sculpting and new accessories, and now offers an optional deluxe upgrade. This upgrade is even more exciting with the addition of a new head sculpt that has movable eyes. The enhancements don’t stop there. The figure also includes swappable mandibles, a battle-damaged mask, multiple interchangeable hands, extendable gauntlet blades, a plasmacaster, a skull and spine, and a display stand, all designed to make the figure as remarkable as possible.
The new Deluxe Version adds a “Boar Predator” concept masked portrait, a jungle diorama base, and skull accessories. Although the concept mask was eventually changed for the film, the mask was introduced in the sequel, PREDATOR 2, worn by the Boar Predator from the infamous Lost Tribe. The new version of the Jungle Hunter looks exceptional and will be a standout addition to any fan’s collection. In truth, it’s the perfect teaser for what’s to come later this year. Dan Trachtenberg, the director of PREY, is returning to the franchise with Predator: Killer of Killers, an animated anthology of stories set to premiere on Disney+ on June 6th. Later, in November, Trachtenberg will take us on a journey to a galaxy far, far away with PREDATOR: BADLANDS, the futuristic sequel to Prey. So, 2025 is the year of the Predator, and there’s no better time to add this sensational-looking new Predator figure to your collection.
