Netflix Tudum 2025 delivered everything from Stranger Things, Wednesday, Squid Game and more at the live event held at the Kia Forum, Los Angeles.
Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event, Netflix’s biggest celebration of fandom and culture-defining storytelling, took over the Kia Forum in Los Angeles with an epic lineup of talent and unforgettable performances from Lady Gaga and Hanumankind. Hosted by Sofia Carson (My Oxford Year, The Life List, Carry-On, Purple Hearts and Feel The Beat), the star-studded affair united fans and celebrities for a spectacular showcase of entertainment and an epic celebration of fandom.
Fans were thrilled with exclusive sneak peeks and teasers, including in the show’s opening. The iconic pink guards from Squid Game took over Los Angeles with a thrilling dance performance before cast members Lee Jung-jae (Gi-Hun), Lee Byung-hun (Front Man), Park Sung-hoon, Kang Ae-sim, and Choi Seung-hyun treated fans to the exclusive debut of the Squid Game Season 3 trailer. The final games are just beginning — Squid Game will come to an epic finale on June 27th, only on Netflix.

SQUID GAME SEASON 3
Team X or Team O? Right or left? Red light or green light? The players of Squid Game have a lot of life-or-death choices to make. And not much time to decide. The brutal competition is set to come to a close on June 27, when the series’ third and final season premieres. The latest trailer gives us a peek into the bloody battle ahead for Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae). His friends and his enemies (including the enigmatic Front Man) race toward the last round of Squid Game.
Prepare to see familiar foes, new games, and higher stakes than ever in Squid Game Season 3.
“The new season will focus on what Gi-hun can and will do after all his efforts fail,” series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk tells Tudum. The upcoming episodes pick up directly after the Season 2 finale, which saw Gi-hun lead a rebellion against the puppet masters of Squid Game. Tragically, his coup failed and many of his allies died in the process. The trailer — which was unveiled during Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event — hints at the “remorse and guilt” bubbling inside Gi-hun in Season 3.
“He is in utter despair after losing everything and watching all his efforts go in vain,” Hwang explains. “The story then takes an interesting turn, questioning whether Gi-hun can overcome his shame and rise again to prove that values of humanity — like conscience and kindness — can exist in the arena.”
WHAT FANS CAN EXPECT
Many ominous obstacles lie ahead for Gi-hun on his quest. Of course, there are the heavily armed pink guards and bloodthirsty players he must contend with. But the contest will also throw death-defying new games at Gi-hun and the rest of his competitors. The trailer confirms Young-hee — the terrifying doll whose all-seeing eyes lord over Red Light, Green Light — will return for an all-new round of play. You certainly won’t want to fall for her tricks this time around. Fans will also get a first glimpse at a chilling new game where danger lurks around every corner.
As Lee Byung-hun, who portrays Front Man, promises, viewers “won’t be disappointed” by the surprises hiding in Squid Game’s final episodes. “In Season 2, dramatic narratives centred on various characters, setting the stage for Season 3, when these stories reach their climax, and culminate in an explosion of dramatic intensity,” he says.
A SHOCK IS IN STORE
And Gi-hun is in for a shock of his own. In Season 2, Gi-hun had no idea his new friend In-ho is the same person as the ruthless Front Man. The Season 3 trailer reveals Gi-hun might be one step closer to learning the truth. In the clip, we see a suited-up Gi-hun walking through Front Man’s chambers. Separately, we see Front Man remove his mask and, in voice-over, ask, “Player 456, do you still have faith in people?”
What will Gi-hun’s answer be? And, are we really heading toward a face-to-face showdown between Gi-hun and Front Man? You’ll have to find out by tuning into Squid Game Season 3 when it debuts on Netflix on June 27.

WAKE UP DEAD MAN: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY
The Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery cast — Daniel Craig, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Cailee Spaeny and Daryl McCormack — and writer/director/producer Rian Johnson shared a sneak peek at the highly anticipated film and announced that it will premiere globally on Netflix on 12, December, 2025.
Are you ready for Benoit Blanc’s most dangerous case yet? Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is the third film featuring the Southern-fried detective created by writer-director Rian Johnson. However, the mystery of when this will be released has been solved: Wake Up Dead Man will come to Netflix on Dec. 12.
In the date announcement above, which debuted at Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event on Saturday, May 31, you can glimpse everybody’s favourite ascot-wearing sleuth (Daniel Craig) alongside the new star-studded group of suspects. This is the latest instalment in the Knives Out mystery series, crafted with Johnson’s signature touch. But this time, it ventures into a darker tone, unlike anything seen in the previous films.

ONE PIECE
The cast of ONE PIECE — Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero and Taz Skylar — shared an exclusive preview of the upcoming season, which will premiere on Netflix in 2026. They surprised audiences with a first look at fan favourite Tony Tony Chopper, voiced by Mikaela Hoover.
Ahoy, Straw Hats! A cute, toddler-sized friend will join ONE PIECE when the live-action series returns for Season 2 in 2026.
During Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event on May 31, stars Iñaki Godoy (who plays Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji) took the stage to preview what’s to come, including a first look at the latest character to board the series, Tony Tony Chopper.
But who is this adorable creature in the giant pink top hat?

CHOPPER
A blue-nosed reindeer-boy hybrid, Chopper is as bright as he is cute. With the ability to treat various illnesses, he aims to travel the world and accomplish his dream of curing any disease, which would undoubtedly be useful for our Straw Hat pirates. He’s also fiercely loyal, loves compliments (but doesn’t want you to know it), and wears his heart on his sleeve. But don’t let his sweet face fool you. This fan-favourite character is a lot tougher than he looks. And whatever you do, don’t call him a raccoon! He’s a reindeer!
Chopper is voiced by Mikaela Hoover (Beef, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Superman), who also performed facial capture for the character.
“What excited me about playing Chopper is the tug of war between his standoffishness and his huge heart,” Hoover tells Tudum. “He tries so hard to hide his emotions and put on a tough exterior, but underneath, he’s a big softy, and his love can’t help but come out.
“I believe there is a little Chopper in all of us,” she adds. “We all want to be loved and accepted. We go to great lengths to keep the people that we love safe. There’s a purity to his nature that reminds us of what’s good in the world.”
The visual-effects company Framestore adapted Chopper for the live-action series and based its design on ONE PIECE creator Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga drawing.
Visual-effects supervisor Victor Scalise tells Netflix,
“It’s been a lot of fun. We’ve got a great team leading that process with Chopper … I think the audience, when they see him, they’re going to be very happy.”

THE RIP
Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Steven Yeun, Teyana Taylor, and Catalina Sandino Moreno dropped a pulse-pounding teaser for The Rip, exclusively within the live broadcast. As a team of Miami cops whose trust begins to fray upon the discovery of millions in cash in a derelict stash house, everything is called into question, including who they can rely on. The teaser has since been confiscated. The cast also revealed that the film will release globally on Netflix on January 16, 2026.

FRANKENSTEIN
In a pre-recorded message, Jacob Elordi of Frankenstein greeted fans before director Guillermo del Toro, Oscar Isaac, and Mia Goth took the stage. Del Toro detailed his personal journey to making the film, while the cast described their incredible experience making it, leading up to an electrifying exclusive look at the film’s teaser trailer.
“Some of what I will tell you is fact,” Oscar Isaac intones in the opening moments of the new teaser trailer for Academy Award winner Guillermo del Toro’s highly anticipated Frankenstein adaptation. Which premiered on May 31 at Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event. “Some is not. But it is all true.” The truth of this particular tale is in the eye of the beholder. Whether that’s the eye of Victor Frankenstein (Isaac), or the misbegotten creature (Jacob Elordi) he’s created. You can see the full teaser above.
Del Toro has been dreaming of Mary Shelley’s classic monster since childhood. But it took him decades to finally adapt the novel. In the interim, the iconography of the beloved tale seeped into the rest of del Toro’s filmography. Think of the lightning-infused birth of Pinocchio in his 2022 Oscar winner Pinocchio. Or the wounded humanity of Ron Perlman’s monstrous Hellboy.
CONTINUUM OF INFLUENCE
Now, that continuum of influence has been reversed. Fans of del Toro’s work will note plenty of familiar imagery in the new teaser. From Isaac’s Victor standing on a decaying staircase holding a candelabra (see: Crimson Peak) to a blood-red angelic figure surrounded in flames (see: the Angel of Death in Hellboy II: The Golden Army, the blue Wood Sprite and the sphinxlike Death in Pinocchio, and even the Faun in Pan’s Labyrinth). The teaser promises Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, filtered through the lens of Guillermo del Toro on the grandest canvas imaginable.

HAPPY GILMORE 2
The cast of Happy Gilmore 2 commemorated the original film’s enduring impact. The celebration included a Q&A session moderated by Rich Eisen. Featuring surprise special appearances by Lavell Crawford. Blake Clark. Kym Whitley. Jon Lovitz. Ethan Cutkosky, and Conor Sherry. It concluded with the premiere of the movie’s official trailer. Happy Gilmore 2 will be released on 25 July 2025, only on Netflix!
It’s been almost 30 years since we last saw Happy Gilmore, the long-driving hero who won the Tour Championship in 1996. Now we finally get to catch up with him in a new sequel that comes to Netflix on July 25. Reunite with everybody’s favourite golfer in the brand-new trailer above.
