Prime Video has revealed the first trailer for Gen V Season 2. Get ready for more outrageous hijinks at Godolkin University!
Are you ready to re-enroll at Godolkin University? If the answer is yes, you’d better start packing your bags because Prime Video has released the first trailer for Gen V Season 2. The sophomore season of The Boys spin-off is set to arrive on Prime Video with a three-part season premiere on September 17. With the hype train in full swing, the studio has dropped the first full trailer for the new season, revealing our young supes picking up the pieces after last season’s finale.
The series now needs to adapt following the tragic passing of season one star Chance Perdomo, who sadly died in a motorcycle accident. In his role as Andre Anderson, Perdomo was a significant character in Season 1 and also appeared in Season 4 of The Boys, making his loss a major blow to the series. However, based on the trailer, the showrunners seem to have found a meaningful way to pay tribute to him, while also incorporating his passing as a significant plot point in Season 2. Before we sign up for another semester, be sure to check out the trailer below.
NEW POSTER
If the new trailer isn’t enough to have you dusting off your Homelander cosplay, the studio also dropped an all-new poster for the season. The new one-sheet is an expanded version of last week’s teaser poster, which featured Jaz Sinclair’s Marie Moreau writing the word “RESIST” on a wall in blood. The expanded poster features the same setting, but now includes the rest of the cast that will carry season 2 forward. Check it out.

RELEASE
Losing a star like Chance Perdomo was always going to be challenging to adapt to, but the showrunners appear to have found the perfect solution. Making his passing part of the season not only keeps him in the family but also pays the actor the ultimate respect, and I applaud them for honoring his memory. Let’s hope the series sticks the landing when it returns in September.
Although the debut episodes of the show didn’t resonate with me, the later episodes legitimized the show’s existence, and I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing how Season 2 unfolds. However, going into the new season knowing that The Boys‘ next season will be its last is a bitter pill to swallow. But thankfully, with a prequel series on the way, and Gen V keeping us entertained with its Supe hijinks, the superhero void has been filled.
Gen V Season 2 swoops onto Prime Video with a three-part season premiere on September 17.
