Netflix Unveils the First Six Minutes of Wednesday Season 2 At Tudum

To close Netflix Tudum, The Addams Family (Jenna Ortega, Luis Guzmán, Joanna Lumley, Fred Armisen, and Isaac Ordonez) took the stage to unveil the first 6 minutes of the highly anticipated second season of Wednesday. Part 1 is set to release on August 6, and Part 2 is scheduled for release on September 3. The first episode is titled ‘Here We Woe Again.’

It was also announced on stage that the Grammy-winning artist Lady Gaga will be guest-starring in Part 2 of Season 2, playing the mysterious and enigmatic Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.

“This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore,” co-showrunners and executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar tell Tudum.

CAST

Jenna Ortega will lead Wednesday Season 2 as part-time detective, part-time mystery author, and full-time outcast; she’s also set to produce. Myers (Enid Sinclair), Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), Dorobantu (Thing), and Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin) will return alongside Ortega.

Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Deputy Ritchie Santiago) have all become series regulars. Jamie McShane (Sheriff Donovan Galpin) and Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester) will also return in guest-starring roles.

New series regular include Steve Buscemi (The Big Lebowski, Boardwalk Empire), Billie Piper (Scoop, I Hate Suzie), Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill, Lord of Misrule), Owen Painter (Tiny Beautiful Things, The Handmaid’s Tale), Noah B. Taylor (Law & Order: Organized Crime, Park Avenue). You can also expect some new guest stars apart from Lady Gaga – Christopher Lloyd (The Addams Family, Back To The Future), Joanna Lumley (Fool Me Once, Absolutely Fabulous), Thandiwe Newton (Westworld, Crash), Frances O’Connor (The Missing, The Twelve), Haley Joel Osment (The Kominsky Method, Somebody I Used to Know), Heather Matarazzo (The Princess Diaries, Scream) and Joonas Suatamo (Star Wars The Force Awakens, Star Wars The Last Jedi, Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker).

Mark the dates in your diary because the new semester at Nevermore begins with Wednesday Season 2, Part 1, on August 6, followed by Part 2 on September 3.
