Hindsight is 2020. That is the tagline for the upcoming contemporary Western black comedy Eddington, written and directed by Ari Aster. The film is led by Oscar-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix and also features Pedro Pascal. Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, Austin Butler, and Emma Stone. It is due to hit cinema screens on July 18th from A24. Following the film’s explosive world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, the official trailer for the movie has been unveiled.

PREMISE

In May 2020, a standoff occurs between the sheriff (Joaquin Phoenix) and mayor (Pedro Pascal) in the small town of Eddington, New Mexico, leading to heightened tensions as neighbours turned against each other.
