Welcome to The Official Film Chart.
THE OFFICIAL UK TOP TEN
This week, the chart placements have shifted dramatically. We have one new entry and four re-entries. Mickey 17, Warfare, The Wild Robot, Snow White, and Dog Man are making way for these arrivals. But what is topping the chart tree this week? Is it a holdover, a climber, or that single new entry? No prizes for guessing the answer!

THERE’S NO BEATING MINECRAFT!
A Minecraft Movie makes it three consecutive weeks atop the Official Film Chart.

BRIDGET JONES REMAINS STUCK AT NUMBER TWO!
The final film in the franchise, Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, remains at Number two.

THE CHART GETS SOME SINNERS!
Sinners secures this week’s highest new entry, straight in at Number 3. The Ryan Coogler-directed supernatural horror Sinners follows identical twins and World War I veterans Smoke and Stack Moore (Michael B. Jordan), who return to Clarksdale, Mississippi, following a stint working at the Chicago Outfit. Joined by cousin Sammie Moore (Miles Caton), the trio start a juke joint with money stolen from racist landowner Hogwood (Dave Maldonado). But, with Smoke and Stack’s pastor father Jedidiah’s (Saul Williams) warnings that blues music is supernatural, will their plans be thrown off course?

THE MAGIC RETURNS FOR WICKED!
After thinking it was on its way out of the top ten last week, Wicked gets some magic back. The musical flies up five places to Number 4. This could be thanks to the release of the trailer for the second and concluding part, Wicked For Good, last week.

MARCHING POWDER MARCHES DOWN A PLACE!
The Danny Dyer romantic comedy (yeah, right!) Marching Powder marches down the chart to Number 5 this week.

THE CHART FINDS ITSELF IN THE LOST LANDS AT SIX!
Our first re-entry comes in the form of the action fantasy film In The Lost Lands at Number 6. Directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, with a screenplay by Constantin Werner from a story they both co-wrote. Based on the short story of the same name by George R. R. Martin, the film stars Milla Jovovich and Dave Bautista as a witch and a hunter, who journey into a dangerous landscape to find an artefact for a queen.

CAPTAIN AMERICA IS ALMOST DEFEATED!
The Marvel return of the legendary hero, Captain America: Brave New World, is almost defeated as it falls to Number 7.

THE CHART MONKIES AROUND AGAIN!
One of the craziest and most entertaining horror movies of the year, The Monkey decides to monkey around once more as it rejoins the top ten at Number 8.

IT’S BACK INTO THE CHART ARENA FOR GLADIATOR II!
The Ridley Scott sequel epic Gladiator II battles itself back into the chart arena again as it re-enters the top ten at Number 9.

NOSFERATU TAKES ANOTHER BITE OUT OF THE CHART!
And finally, the horror remake of the classic Nosferatu returns to take another bite out of the chart as it resumes its horrific endeavours at Number 10.

WILL YOU SURVIVE UNTIL DAWN?
This week’s offering on PVOD is the movie adaptation of the classic video game horror, Until Dawn. It is set in the same universe, featuring an original standalone story that expands upon the game’s mythology. It stars Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Odessa A’zion, Ji-young Yoo, and Belmont Cameli as a group of friends who end up in a secluded area embedded with a time loop mechanic; a threat is out to hunt them where dying restarts the night with a new threat each time, and the only solution is to survive until morning. Peter Stormare also stars, reprising his role from the game. If this sounds like your perfect night’s entertainment, rent it for £15.99 or buy it early for £19.99.

Can Until Dawn scare up a chart win next week? Can Sinners rise to the challenge and top the chart? Or will A Minecraft Movie make it four weeks in a row? You know what to do, come back next week to find out what’s hot and what’s not in the top ten chart. So, until then…
Whatever you decide, whatever you buy, stay safe, be kind, look after each other, and happy viewing!!
