Today, Netflix announced that the new limited series Hostage will launch on 21 August and shared the first-look imagery. In this five-part series, Suranne Jones stars and serves as executive producer, marking her first collaboration with Netflix. The series is written by Matt Charman, known for his work on Bridge of Spies and Treason.

THE PREMISE
When the British Prime Minister’s husband is kidnapped and the visiting French President is blackmailed, the two political leaders both face unimaginable choices.
