Red Light. Green Light! Get ready, players, because the Fortnite x Squid Game collaboration reloads the game this weekend. We’ve known for a while that a new partnership with Netflix’s groundbreaking series was on the way. But with the final season of the hit series right around the corner, Fortnite has shared the full details about this exciting new collab. If you were hoping for a weekend of game chaos, you’ve come to the right place because it brings a treasure trove of Squid Game awesomeness to the map.
In addition to a host of new skins, including the Guard, Manager, and male and female players, gamers can look forward to new cosmetics, emotes, and Twitch drops. But that’s not all. Epic Games is also bringing in an all-new Squid Game-inspired map to Fortnite Reload. This all-new map features the iconic game building where players can fight it out to the death.
SQUID GROUNDS
Squid Grounds is the latest map to join Reload’s growing map pool. Find familiar playground locations from the games, complete with staged town sets and a hollowed-out labyrinth cutting underneath the island’s rolling hills. You can even play Red Light Green Light at your own risk. There’s a Square Meals area, a Red Greens farm, and even the famous Squid Game Labyrinth. Squid Grounds will be the sole map for Reload during its launch weekend and will replace Oasis when the map rotation resumes on June 30 at 7 AM ET.
PRICING STRUCTURE
The new Fortnite x Squid Game set is a pretty pricey collection. With all the cool accessories you get, the 3,000 V-Bucks price tag is a big hit to the wallet, making it one of the most expensive sets out there. But the good news is that Fortnite has broken it down into individual pieces, making it easier to grab in the current climate. Take a look at the breakdown of costs for each part.

But the fun doesn’t end there. Players can get a jump on the action by competing in the Squid Grounds Cup on June 25! The Squid Grounds Cup is a Reload Duos Fill tournament taking place on the Slurp Rush map. Top performers in each region will earn the Games Guard Outfit before it becomes available in the Shop on June 26. Players can also earn the Masterful Stare Spray by earning at least 8 points in the tournament!
TWITCH DROPS
Earn Twitch Drops during Squid Grounds’ launch weekend! Watch any channel in the Fortnite category on Twitch between June 27 at 9 AM ET and June 29 at 11:59 PM ET to receive the following:
- Watch for 30 minutes cumulative to receive The Games Banner Icon.
- Watch for 1 hour cumulative to receive the Cuddly Games Spray.
- Watch for 1 hour and 30 minutes cumulative to receive the Guarded Games Spray.
- Watch for 2 hours cumulative to receive the Ddakji Flip Emoticon.
RELEASE
This latest release is another fine addition to the growing list of collaboration skins, and the year is only halfway through. Other collaborations planned for 2025 include Demon Slayer, The Fast and the Furious, Disney Pixar’s Cars, and James Bond. Additionally, fans have recently enjoyed the long-awaited return of the Street Fighter collaboration, bringing the almost three-year wait to an end. Plus, with Superman flying around the map and more superheroes on their way, the future of Fortnite looks very promising. But can players survive this weekend?
