Smurfs show their support for the UN’s ActNow Campaign and UNICEF, aiming to create a blueprint for a better world that empowers individuals and others.
Join forces with the Smurfs, the UN’s ActNow initiative and UNICEF in a global digital social impact campaign that encourages people, especially children, to speak up, empower themselves and others, and help create a blueprint for a better world.
The campaign launches with a talent-driven Public Service Announcement (PSA) video, starring the Smurfs characters and the celebrated actors who voice them, including Rihanna, Billie Lourd, Amy Sedaris, and Hannah Waddingham. The PSA premiered at Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards on June 21st, and starting today will be shown in Times Square and posted across BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Paramount+, Pluto TV, Network 10 (Australia) Chilevisión and Telefe (Latin America) on their broadcast, streaming and social channels.
The PSA has been localised with subtitles in the following languages: Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), Dutch, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Kiswahili, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish.

SMURF IT UP THIS SUMMER!
Are you ready to Smurf it up this summer? Paramount Pictures is rebooting the franchise with the new live-action/animated musical fantasy, Smurfs. This new version of the characters is again based on the comic book series created by the Belgian comics artist Peyo. The film stars Rihanna as the voice of Smurfette, alongside an ensemble cast including Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, JP Karliak, Dan Levy, Amy Sedaris, Nick Kroll, James Corden, Octavia Spencer, Hannah Waddingham, Sandra Oh, Alex Winter, Billie Lourd, Xolo Maridueña, Kurt Russell, and John Goodman. The character posters for the film have landed after escaping from the village. Time to start whistling that famous theme tune again!
PREMISE
When Papa Smurf (John Goodman) is mysteriously taken by evil wizards, Razamel and Gargamel, Smurfette (Rihanna) leads the Smurfs on a mission into the real world to save him. With the help of new friends, the Smurfs must discover what defines their destiny to save the universe. SMURFS features an all-star voice cast including Rihanna. James Corden. Nick Offerman. With Rihanna voicing Smurfette in the movie, we knew she would perform a song or two. And so it has proved. The trailer features the song Friend Of Mine, which also is featured in the film.
