Fortnite x Superman: The Engineer and Mr. Terrific Are Swooping In!

Look up, Fortnite fans, because all new skins for Mr. Terrific and The Engineer from James Gunn’s Superman and flying in from Metropolis.
Fortnite players are in for a treat this weekend. With James Gunn’s Superman swooping into cinemas everywhere from this Friday, DC Studios and Epic Games have cooked up something special. Not only will this Friday see a new Superman update that introduces new mythics and Krypto as a companion, but Mr. Terrific and The Engineer will also join the action. To get us suitably excited for the update, Fortnite dropped a fresh, super-powered new trailer for the event. Check it out.
NEW POWERS
It’s time to heed the call. Starting July 11 at 9 AM ET, Superman’s Call crystal has a chance to spawn in every Battle Royale and Zero Build match. The first player to find it will be given Superman’s powers, gaining the ability to fly through the air, melt structures with heat vision, and flex superhuman strength. If other players fighting back are able to take you down, the transformed player will revert back to their normal self, rifting back to the battlefield.
Starting July 15, look no further than Superman’s Fortress of Solitude for a superhero homebase, an icy castle straight out of the Arctic tundra! The protector of Metropolis will be here offering services in exchange for Bars.
NEW SKINS
Superman and Krypto aren’t the only ones on the Island — the Mister Terrific Outfit will be in the Shop starting 8 PM ET on July 10. But when there are heroes, there are also villains… The Engineer (DC) Outfit will be in the Shop starting at the same time!
PRICING
The new Fortnite x Superman set is a pretty pricey collection, and sadly, it looks as though the characters will be sold separately. However, that is yet to be confirmed. But the good news is that Fortnite has broken it down into individual pieces, making it easier to grab in the current climate. Take a look at the breakdown of costs for each part.

NEW PEN & INK STYLE
Of course, July 11th will also see the release of Jim Lee’s Pen and Ink Superman skin in the Battle Pass. Until now, only David Corenswet’s Man of Steel has been available to unlock early. But from tomorrow, all of Superman’s cosmetics will be available to unlock through gameplay. From the Pan and Ink skin to the Daily Planet glider, every cosmetic will be available to unlock. So get ready for a fantastic weekend of superhero action.
RELEASE
What an incredible update. Fortnite players will be eating well this weekend. But what else does Epic Games have up its sleeve? James Gunn recently sat down with the Fortnite team to discuss which characters should make the transition to the map, so there’s plenty of room for Lex Luthor, Hawkgirl, Metamorpho, and more to swoop into the shop. Let’s hope for some SUPER additions to the DC roster soon.
