Keanu Reeves plays an inept angel in the first trailer for Lionsgate’s Good Fortune, coming to cinemas in October.
Imagine if JohnWick grew wings and became an angel, only to decide to throw two people’s lives into utter chaos. If this sounds like your bag, you’ve come to the right place because Lionsgate has shared the first trailer and character posters for Good Fortune. The zany comedy is coming our way in October and follows Keanu Reeves as Gabriel, an angel who has descended from heaven to maintain peace on Earth. But when one of his protectorates loses everything, he decides to overstep his authority and do a life swap with one of L.A.’s wealthiest tech gurus – let the mayhem commence.
In addition to Keanu Reeves, the film stars Seth Rogen and Aziz Ansari as his two experimental life swappers. The rest of the cast is rounded out by Keke Palmer and Sandra Oh. But before we start levitating, let’s take a look at the trailer below.

RELEASE
I’m definitely sold on this film. It looks exceptional and is sure to keep us entertained as the autumn nights draw in. Keanu Reeves seems to be at a point in his career where he can relax and enjoy what he’s doing, and in “Good Fortune,” he appears to be living life to the fullest. On the other hand, Aziz Ansari is taking on multiple roles as the writer, director, and star, which will be quite a challenge for him. However, based on the strength of this first trailer, the film seems to be a winner. Add the star power of Seth Rogen into the mix, and movie fans have a lot to look forward to.Â
It should be noted that the film will release just seven days after Disney’s Tron: Ares, which will be a major obstacle at the global box office. But with its hilarious storyline and exceptional talent, the film will serve as the perfect alternative to the sci-fi bonanza from the Grid.
Good Fortune will favour the bold in cinemas on October 17th.
