Bill Skarsgård returns to his iconic role as Pennywise The Clown in the new teaser for IT: Welcome To Derry. Will it float your boat?
Pennywise the dancing clown is back! And he’s taking no prisoners once again. Coming to scare us once again in October is the series IT: Welcome To Derry. The nine-part series is a prequel to the two recent movies. This new series is developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs, who all contributed to the It films. It stars Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, and Taylour Paige. James Remar, and Stephen Rider, with Bill Skarsgård reprising his role as Pennywise the Clown from the films.
The series takes place in the 1960s, preceding the two movies and serving as the origin story for Pennywise. Fans of the original Stephen King novel will be familiar with the background of the character. The series, set in the 1960s, delights fans by aligning closely with the novel’s timeframe. And the return of Bill Skarsgård as the iconic character can only elevate the material and the series higher than a red balloon. The new teaser for the series has floated in to frighten us.
