Hey, DC fans! John Cena’s Peacemaker is officially joining Fortnite, confirmed by James Gunn at SDCC!
Look out, DC fans, because John Cena’s Peacemaker is officially making his way to Fortnite. With Superman now delivering big at the worldwide box office and Season 2 of the hit series just weeks away, James Gunn has confirmed the news that the anti-hero is landing on the map soon.
Gunn confirmed the news during the Peacemaker Season 2 panel at SDCC this past weekend, sending the crowd into delirium. After revealing a new poster and a new trailer for the upcoming season, Gunn opened up about the character’s long-awaited debut in Fortnite. Although Gunn refused to confirm a release date, nor what cosmetics he will be bringing with him, the director did confirm that he is arriving very soon. Hopefully, this means Peacemaker will be unleashed on he map in time for Season 2. In a recent post on Reddit, Alphasilverhawk shared a video from San Diego Comic Con with Gunn confirming the news.

ANTI-HERO?
It is worth noting that Gunn specifically mentioned the character will be available in the item shop. Therefore, any claims regarding his availability only through a Battle Pass are now irrelevant. However, in the days that followed this announcement, the usual data miners have discovered links suggesting that Vigilante will be part of the big reveal, so we could be in line for two new additions to the DC Studios roster.

FORTNITE x DC STUDIOS
Although the collaboration is yet to receive an official release date, the series returns to our screens on August 21st. So, it is reasonable to expect the collaboration to drop in the Item Shop around that time. But it is wonderful to see characters from Gunn’s newly minted DC Universe finally making their way to the map. After a brief hiatus while Warner Bros explored the Multiversus game platform, the DC characters are finally making their way back to Fortnite.
Since Multiversus was discontinued, we have witnessed numerous new additions to the DC character roster. New ninja variants of Batman and Harley Quinn have been introduced, along with Superman and Robin, who are part of the current Battle Pass. Recently, Mister Terrific and The Engineer have joined the game, enhancing our Superman experience. Additionally, Cyborg has been included to complete the Teen Titans roster. And now… Peacemaker has arrived!

It is safe to say that the collaboration between Fortnite and DC Studios is back on track, and the players are reaping the benefits. With these larger-than-life heroes enhancing our gameplay, the game has never been richer. But with a new season right around the corner and Peacemaker about to make a splash, the new phase of Battle Royale promises to be incredible.
