Look out, Michael Myers fans, because a new Halloween game is coming from Illfonic, allowing you to become THE SHAPE!
The night he came home is now becoming one of the most eagerly anticipated games of all time! That’s right, John Carpenter’s iconic Halloween is getting the game treatment from the team at Illfonic and Gun Media. The incredible-looking game is heading our way in 2026 and promises to take fans into the heart of the story. Players will take on the roles of either residents of Haddonfield, Illinois, or Michael Myers himself, The Shape. As residents, players must survive, stay in the shadows, warn other residents, and hopefully contact the authorities before Michael eliminates them in gruesome ways! If that isn’t enough, the game features the late great Donald Pleasence as Dr. Samuel “Sam” Loomis. Sounds like fun, right?
If you’re a fan of the John Carpenter classic, you’re in for a treat. The developers have already shared the first trailer for this epic new adventure, and we are delighted to share it with you. So, grab something to hide behind and hit play on the trailer below.
THE NIGHT HE CAME HOME
What a phenomenal trailer. The game appears to be sticking specifically to John Carpenter’s landmark original film and will be contained to the first night he came home, which is incredible news. Ask any Halloween fan, and they’ll tell you that this is their dream game, and thankfully, the creators behind it have a wealth of previous success in the genre. They previously collaborated on Friday the 13th: The Game, which allowed players to enjoy a killing spree as Jason Vorhees. So now, they will be hoping that their previous success carries over to Halloween.
