It’s here! Check out the new opening credits sequence from DC Studios’ Peacemaker Season 2.
At long last, the new opening credits sequence from James Gunn’s Peacemaker Season 2 has been revealed. Despite having seen the first five episodes of the season, we weren’t allowed to touch on them in our review until the first episode aired. Thankfully, after last night’s premiere, we are finally allowed to share them with you in all their glory.
The first season’s credits sequence became a viral sensation, and the second season is no different. Featuring the song “Oh Lord” by Foxy Shazam, the credits showcase the cast as they once again bust some moves. Even Eagly gets involved this season…so, strap in, and hit play on the sequence below.

In my FOUR-STAR review of the season, I said: “Peacemaker Season 2 is a blast. James Gunn has successfully delivered more of what made the first season so successful. It’s outrageous, gratuitous, ultra-violent, edgy, and jaw-droppingly enjoyable. The characters and their relationships are afforded more time to develop. Gunn has laid the foundations for everything that will follow in his new DCU. Sadly, the new season isn’t without its flaws; there are a few glaring issues with the relaunch. However, they take nothing away from another balls-to-the-wall season of madness. With elements of the new DCU adding their strength to an already ballsy storyline, the second season is off to a strong start. I cannot wait to see where the last few episodes take us.” Read the full review here.

The first episode is already generating buzz with its revision of past events. In a clever flashback sequence at the beginning, the Justice League has been entirely replaced by the Justice Gang from Superman. This change signifies that the last traces of the old DC Universe have been set aside. But it paves the way for the new DC canon to start.
It’s a gutsy move from Gunn, but a necessary one to facilitate the continuity of his new DC Universe. But with John Cena hitting his stride and the phenomenal supporting cast hitting the ground running, Peacemaker Season 2 is off to a flying start…and it begins with the sensational opening credits.
Peacemaker Season 2 is now streaming on HBO Max in the US, and is available on SKY Max and Now TV in the UK.
