Vertigo Releasing is thrilled to present the UK trailer and poster for Dead Of Winter. The film will be out in UK and Irish cinemas from 26th September. The action-thriller stars Emma Thompson, Judy Greer, Marc Menchaca, Laurel Marsden, and BrÃan F. O’Byrne. This exciting movie showcases the talents of director Brian Kirk and the writing duo Nicholas Jacobson-Larson and Dalton Leeb. Originally titled The Fisherwoman, the filmmakers shot the film in the breathtaking locations of Koli, Finland, and North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
PREMISE
Barb (Emma Thompson), a grieving widow, sets out on a pilgrimage to scatter her husband’s ashes in the icy wilderness of northern Minnesota. Where their life together first began. Caught in a blizzard and stranded far from help, she stumbles upon a remote cabin. And a chilling discovery inside. A volatile couple, played by Judy Greer and Marc Menchaca, has taken a young woman captive. Barb must confront not only the danger before her but the depths of her own resilience. Isolated in the endless snow, she finds that the strength of love and memory may be the only weapons she has to fight for survival.
