Look out, Ice Age fans, because a sixth movie in the franchise, titled Ice Age: Boiling Point, will be coming to cinemas in February 2027.
They’ve survived a meltdown, a continental drift, and even the dawn of the dinosaurs. But now our beloved Ice Age creatures are heading to a boiling point. That’s right, the long-awaited sixth installment in the Ice Age saga, titled Ice Age: Boiling Point, has been announced by Disney. The film is scheduled to release in February 2027. This is a month and a half later than previously expected. The announcement has got fans of the property excited for another adventure.
The announcement post also confirms that “the newest adventure takes the herd to visit never-before-seen corners of the treacherous Lost World!”

ANOTHER LOST WORLD TO EXPLORE?Â
Once again, the film will follow the adventures of the sloth Sid (John Leguizamo), the mammoth Manny (Ray Romano), and the saber-toothed tiger Diego (Denis Leary). Additionally, Simon Pegg will return as Buckminster “Buck” Wild, as will Queen Latifah as Ellie. From the sounds of things, our beloved family will be returning to the underground land of the dinosaurs. This incredible landscape was previously explored in Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. That film was a high point for the franchise. Perhaps Disney is eager to recreate that success and deliver a landmark sequel that fans can rally behind.

RELEASE
It’s unclear where the film’s story will go, but with a title like “Boiling Point,” it might pick up from the last movie. Remember, there was that asteroid on a collision course with Earth. So, this could dive into the aftermath of that disaster. For now, though, it’s all just speculation, so take it with a grain of salt. At Disney’s D23, fans got a sneak peek and found out that Scrat, the adorable squirrel, now has a kid in this one. So, things are definitely going to get a lot crazier for our Ice Age crew!
Sadly, until Disney reveals more, we can all enjoy the speculation. But no matter which side of the fence you sit, fans can look forward to another hilarious adventure when Ice Age: Boiling Point turns up the heat in cinemas in February 2027.
