Shudder invites us back to Hell House this October, along with other horror gems, as the Halloween season takes hold!
It’s time for our monthly check-in with the team at Shudder to find out what’s streaming in October 2025. With the season of the Witch upon us, the streamer is unveiling some hidden gems to keep us entertained. The streamer aims to deliver some binge-worthy new movies and shows for us to immerse ourselves in. And, as the long nights begin to fade and the creepy crawlies emerge from their slumber, they have a lineup worthy of your subscription.
With some juicy new titles releasing throughout the month and another bumper crop of killer classics joining the already impressive horror library, Shudder is the place to be this Halloween. So, grab a cushion to hide behind the sofa as we unpack another month of horrific awesomeness.

NEW RELEASES
October is always a landmark month for horror fans. With Halloween bookending the month on October 31st, horror fans are always looking for the killer watchlist to make the season go with a bang. Thankfully, this year is another bumper crop of creature features and slashers! Kick-starting the month’s new releases on October 1st and setting the tone is the atmospheric Revenge of the Ghoul Log. The new hour-long video of the chilling, candlelit pumpkin sets the scene for horror fans all month long. Then, on the 3rd, the Shudder Original film, V/H/S/Halloween, unleashes another series of twisted blood-soaked tales.
On the 5th, it’s time to take in a drive-in movie. In The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl invite us to immerse ourselves in a bone-tingling double-feature sure to delight horror buffs and video hounds alike. Fast forward to the 7th, and The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula: Titans Season 2 waits to escort us behind the velvet curtain. This season, fourteen of the fiercest drag artists from past seasons will return to battle in design, performance, and makeup-based challenges inspired by horror, science fiction, fantasy, and the supernatural.

THE HITS KEEP COMING…
On the 15th, the new unscripted, horror-based competition show Guts & Glory, from award-winning special effects artist and executive producer Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead, Creepshow), flips the script on the traditional competition show. Then on the 17th, things take a sinister turn in the gripping thriller, O.T.H.E.R. In the film, Alice (Olga Kurylenko, Thunderbolts*, Oblivion) returns to her childhood home after her mother’s death, only to find the house is rigged with surveillance tracking her every move. Kicking off the build-up to All Hallows’ Eve is the all-new FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards.
And finally, rounding out the big new releases on October 30th, the Hell House saga comes home and drags us into another chilling horror. In Hell House LLC: Lineage, the killer clowns are back. In the film, Vanessa Shepard (Elizabeth Vermilyea) finds herself living in the town of Abaddon. When people around her suddenly and inexplicably begin to die, she soon uncovers her terrifying connection to the Abaddon Hotel, Carmichael Manor, and the mysterious murders that have been occurring for decades.

Thankfully, October’s streaming highlights aren’t only dominated by new releases. Cellar dwellers have a treasure trove of classic horror to look forward to throughout the month. From the All Hallows’ Eve saga to Witch, there’s something for every horror fan to feast on this Halloween. But you’re in the mood for some classic sci-fi with your horror, then on October 9th, James Cameron fans are in for a treat. Head back to LV-426 for Aliens Expanded, an in-depth documentary that explores the story behind James Cameron’s beloved sci-fi epic.

In The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula: Titans season two, fourteen of the fiercest drag artists from past seasons (most of them top three finalists and fan favorites) will return to battle in design, performance, and makeup-based challenges inspired by horror, science fiction, fantasy, and the supernatural. The competitors will have to survive the show’s pillars of Filth, Horror and Glamour in order to win the crown and a $100,000 grand prize, a headlining spot on a forthcoming world tour, and the title of “Queen of the Underworld”.
