What’s Streaming On Paramount+ In October: Get Ready For The Return Of The Mayor Of Kingstown!

Jeremy Renner returns as the Mayor Of Kingstown, NCIS: Sydney returns, and some brilliant movies abound! October is superb on Paramount+
October may be a spooky month, but there’s some sparkling entertainment coming to Paramount+. Highlights include the return of Jeremy Renner in season 4 of Mayor Of Kingstown. Both NCIS: Sydney and NCIS: Origins return with brand new seasons. At the same time, there are some new and classic movies and shows coming to get us in the mood for Halloween. The mountain of entertainment has delivered in abundance this October.
MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN S4
Episodes drop weekly from October 26th. There are ten episodes of 50 minutes each. In season four, Mike’s control over Kingstown is threatened as new players compete to fill the power vacuum left in the Russians’ wake. Compelling him to confront the resulting gang war and stop them from swallowing the town. Meanwhile, with those he loves in more danger than ever before, Mike must contend with a headstrong new Warden to protect his own. At the same time, he is grappling with demons from his past.
GEORDIE STORIES: NATHAN & DAD
The episode drops on October 1st and runs for 80 minutes. GEORDIE STORIES: NATHAN AND DAD (4 x 22’) is a powerful docu-series following MTV’s own Nathan Henry (GEORDIE SHORE) as he embarks on a life-changing journey with his father Glen, who is living with terminal cancer. The four-part series offers a rare and emotional look at black father-son relationships through a lens of vulnerability, heritage and identity. Audiences will follow Nathan and Glen to Jamaica, Glen’s birthplace, as they reconnect with family roots and open up about masculinity, illness and LGBTQ+ acceptance in Caribbean culture.
NCIS: ORIGINS S2
Episodes drop weekly from October 15th. There are 18 episodes of 45 minutes each. NCIS: Origins begins in 1991, years prior to the events of NCIS and follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, narrated by Mark Harmon. Season two delves deeper into the unstoppable NCIS Camp Pendleton team, led by the legendary Mike Franks, as well as Gibbs’ early career as a special agent, and reveals the fate of Lala after last season’s devastating car crash. Facing new threats, higher stakes and defining moments that shape their professional and personal lives, one fact is certain: This team always has each other’s backs.
NCIS: SYDNEY S3
The episodes drop weekly from October 15th. There are 20 episodes of 45 minutes each. NCIS: Sydney is back to business in the glistening Harbour City, having escaped the belly of the beast in the croc-fuelled Top End adventure. But little do they know, something even more dangerous is coming back to bite them. Their own pasts. Blue is hunted down by her so-called “family”, who harbour a shocking ulterior motive; while DeShawn is forced to admit he concealed a crucial piece of evidence in a court-martial to protect someone very close. JD has to deal with the fallout from a Faustian pact to keep the team intact within the context of a crumbling relationship…while Evie tentatively embarks on a new one; and Doc Roy must decide if he’s ready to let go.
BEYOND THE BORDERS
The film drops on October 3rd. Along the treacherous U.S.-Mexico border, private dancer Esmee kills a cartel member in self-defence. Fearing for her life, she flees Mexico with a group of undocumented immigrants led by a ruthless coyote. Before crossing, a young mother she befriended is torn from the group, forcing Esmee to safeguard the woman’s daughter, and igniting a harrowing fight for survival.
THE SUBSTANCE
The film drops on October 17th. Have you ever dreamt of a better version of yourself? You. Only better in every way. Seriously. You’ve got to try this new product: The Substance. IT CHANGED MY LIFE. It generates another you. A new, younger, more beautiful, more perfect. you. And there’s only one rule: You share time. One week for you. One week for the new you. Seven days each. A Perfect balance. Easy. Right? If you respect the balance…what could possibly go wrong?

The film drops on October 24th. During the summer of 1979, a group of friends witness a train crash and investigate subsequent unexplained events in their small town.
THE RUNNING MAN
The film drops on October 31st. In a dystopian America, a wrongfully accused and convicted policeman gets his shot at freedom when he’s forced to participate in a TV game show where convicts called Runners must battle killers for their freedom.
CONTINUED ICONIC SERIES
If none of the new content is to your taste, you can always catch the continuation of some hit shows that have already premiered. NCIS: Tony And Ziva continues with episodes 7-10, with all episodes available from October 23rd. Aussie Shore S2 continues to party as episodes 4-7 drop, with all episodes becoming available on November 20th. Tulsa King S3 keeps fighting for what’s theirs with episodes 3-6, with all episodes available on November 23rd. Wild Cards S2 continues to deal with episodes 6-9, with all episodes available on November 10th.
