New Anime Coming to Crunchyroll Announced at New York Comic Con 2025

[OSHI NO KO] Season 3, Daemons of the Shadow Real and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea announced by Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll, the ultimate home for anime worldwide, shared an exciting showcase of news, trailers, and special announcements at New York Comic Con. Spokespeople for the platform shared that Crunchyroll has acquired worldwide theatrical rights (excluding most Asian territories) for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea. Based on the series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, which is available to watch on Crunchyroll.

This all-new feature film, animated by studio 8-Bit, is a stand-alone story that follows the adventures of the beloved slime “Rimuru” and his companions as they visit a private resort island. The movie will be released in cinemas by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment (dates to be announced).
