It’s Fortnitemares season, and Epic Games is getting ready to make 2025’s lineup absolutely epic!. The highly anticipated Fortnite x TRON ARES collaboration recently dropped, transporting us back to The Grid. But if you thought the games were over, you’re dead wrong. The new lineup of characters arriving during Fortnitemares has been revealed, and it’s safe to say we are being spoiled this year. Not only are the long-awaited skins for Ghost Face and Jason Vorhees arriving in this update, but a host of fantastic new characters will be making their debut. Some are fresh and new, while others are some of the pillars of pop culture.
The map just got a Halloween makeover with some excellent new spots, and a bunch of famous horror characters are showing up. You’ll see Art the Clown from “Terrifier,” The Grabber from “The Black Phone,” and Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams from “Wednesday.” Plus, there are characters from “R.E.P.O.” and Huggy Wuggy from “Poppy Playtime” joining the fun. Fans can even hop into the Mystery Machine with Mystery Inc. from “Scooby-Doo.” This season is looking like it could be one of Fortnite’s best, and it’s super exciting!
SCOOBY DOO!
At long last, Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma are bringing their mystery-solving skills to the player base. These new skins, based on their appearance in What’s New Scooby-Doo, are expected to be available from the item shop any day now and are a shoo-in to start the season with a bang. In addition to Mystery Inc., Scooby Snacks are already appearing on the map, giving players health and a shield when consumed, and the Mystery Machine will be zooming into the item shop soon.
This colossal set also includes a spyglass emote. Considering the accessories included, this set is a deluxe collection, and the cost is expected to reflect that. However, Fortnite always splits the components to make the set more affordable. If you wish to buy the whole set, the bundle will probably save you a few V-Bucks, which is always welcome.
MORE RELEASES INCOMING
The Scooby Doo collaboration characters are expected to arrive in the item shop soon, but there’s more to come. The Fortnitemares trailer revealed that additional characters will join throughout the season. As mentioned above, they include Jason Vorhees, Ghost Face, Art the Clown, The Grabber, Huggy Wuggy, and Wednesday Addams. Doja Cat is also getting a major collaboration for Halloween, and her set is already available in the item shop now. But if you need a taster of what’s to come, check out the cinematic and gameplay trailers below.
Sadly, Epic Games has not yet confirmed any release dates or expected price ranges for any of these collaborations. However, with so many characters already leaked, surely it’s only a matter of time before the Fortnitemares drops begin.
FORTNITE CHARACTERS
Thankfully, it isn’t only the collaborations getting all the attention. Epic Games has crafted some fantastic new additions for this year’s event, and they are as chilling as they are imaginative. Lady Marigold, Spice, and Peely are being rewarded with new ghostly skins. Plus, we have new Maxx Speed, Sedona, Red Ruin Joni, Helsie Midnight, Lycan West, Jana Pastel, and The Dark Maw skins to look forward to. If that isn’t enough, a chilling new skin for The Mothman has been revealed, and every player will be rewarded with the free Pyg The Butcher outfit, which is unlockable through gameplay.
Players who earn account levels by November 1 will unlock spooky cosmetic rewards, including the Butcher’s Knife Pickaxe, the Pyg the Butcher Outfit, and more! Take a look at the skin below.
RELEASE
What an incredible selection of new additions to the Fortnitemares collection. Fortnite players will be eating well with these new skins. But what else does Epic Games have up its sleeve? With a battle pass for The Simpsons looming on the horizon, there’s plenty of room for some Springfield characters to swoop into the shop. Let’s hope for some SUPER additions to the Fortnite roster soon. Exciting times are ahead for Fortnite.
