The Bafta-winning A-list drama from director Ang Lee, The Ice Storm, is receiving a UK Blu-ray premiere. It is also being released on Digital Platforms.
Ang Lee’s critically acclaimed, award-winning THE ICE STORM – starring Kevin Kline, Joan Allen and Sigourney Weaver – makes its UK Blu-ray and Digital premiere on 24 November.
Ang Lee’s masterful film – based on the bestselling novel by Rick Moody – charts the fallout of the sexual revolution in the stifled heart of Nixon-era suburbia. The all-star cast includes Kevin Kline (A Fish Called Wanda, The Big Chill). Joan Allen (The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum). Sigourney Weaver (who won the 1998 BAFTA for Supporting Actress for her role). Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man, The Great Gatsby). Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets, Wednesday). Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Monkey) and Katie Holmes (The Gift, Logan Lucky). The film won the Best Screenplay award at Cannes for James Schamus (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). The film received a nomination for the Palme d’Or.

CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Rolling Stone said that THE ICE STORM confirms the Brokeback Mountain director, Ang Lee, as a director of the first rank. Empire magazine declared “the dazzling ensemble perfectly captures every nuance in one of the finest acting showcases you could hope for”. Powerful, provocative and intensely moving, with a sweeping score by Mychael Danna (Oscar winner for his music for Lee’s Life of Pi). Lee’s beautifully made film is a masterclass in literate adult drama. It resonates long after viewing. Stay warm and catch the 4K debut this November!
