(1) THE CONJURING-LAST RITES

Horror proves unstoppable this week as The Conjuring: Last Rites storms straight in at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart. The chilling finale to the long-running supernatural saga sees real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren drawn into one final, terrifying case, with a family plagued by a demonic presence that forces the couple to confront evil like never before. The film’s combination of emotional farewell and unrelenting scares has clearly struck a chord, debuting at the top and outselling every other title across digital and disc.
