Rebel Wilson’s Girl Group Casts Jennifer Coolidge And Nicole Scherzinger

Hollywood megastar Jennifer Coolidge (“The White Lotus”) and award-winning multi-hyphenate Nicole Scherzinger have boarded Rebel Wilson’s Girl Group. This is a fresh and heartfelt new comedy now in production. Wilson is writing, directing, producing, and starring in it for Live Nation Studios and Future Artists Entertainment.
Scherzinger, fresh off her acclaimed run on the West End and Broadway of Sunset Boulevard, joins Jennifer Coolidge for the project. She had also sold out headline performances at the Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall. Coolidge is an iconic two-time Emmy winner. The project will see Wilson play a pop diva who’s been kicked out of her own girl group’s reunion tour. She’s also slapped with a sentence of court-ordered community service. Wilson seizes the chance to stage a comeback by coaching a group of misfit teen girls for a major-label audition.

The ensemble cast also includes Randall Park (“WandaVision”, “Fresh off the Boat”), Sheridan Smith (“Mrs Biggs”, “Cilla”), and Jamie Lee O’Donnell (“Derry Girls”, Leonard & Hungry Paul). It also features comedian Guz Khan (“Man Like Mobeen”, “The Gentleman”) and Jolene Blalock (Star Trek: Enterprise). Other stars include Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm, and All Saints ‘ Shaznay Lewis. They will form the girl band Girlfriends alongside Wilson’s character. Loren Gray will also star.
The film will also be produced by Wilson under her Camp Sugar banner, alongside Matt Williams of Future Artists Entertainment and executive produced by Live Nation Studios. Chris Scott (“Wicked”) is the choreographer.
