Prime Video has unleashed the first blood-soaked, brutal trailer for The Boys Season 5 and promises to be an all-timer! After the events of the last season and the hijinks of Gen V season 2, all-out war seems inevitable. As Homelander’s dictatorship descends into barbarism and the resistance is forced into concentration camps, it’s time for someone to take a stand – and Billy Butcher is always up for one last fight!
The new trailer shows Billy bringing his team back together for one last run as the star-spangled dictator continues his quest to become a superpowered Hitler. But of course, desperate times call for desperate measures, and Butcher’s transgressions from last season are all but forgotten as the war reaches its crescendo. Take a look below.
HOMELANDER UNLEASHED
What a brutal trailer! The biggest takeaway is Homelander reuniting with his father, Soldier Boy (played by Jensen Ackles), as the war escalates. There’s also a special appearance by Jared Padalecki, Ackles’s former on-screen brother from the hit television show Supernatural, a moment fans will cherish.
However, perhaps the most shocking moment features Homelander brutally pummeling a helpless victim into the ground in a blood-splattered rampage. Could this be a member of The Boys finally facing his wrath? Or have The Deep (Chace Crawford) and A-Train (Jessie T) taken their deception to a new level, provoking Homelander’s fury? All will be revealed soon.
TEASER POSTERS
In addition to the brutal new teaser trailer, Prime Video also shared two new teaser posters for the final season. The first reveals Homelander floating in orbit as a nuclear explosion rocks the surface of the planet, while the second shows Billy Butcher walking through the rubble of Vought Tower. With Karl Urban recently teasing that “anyone is fair game” in the final season of The Boys, the trailer has doubled down on that threat. The final season won’t be taking any prisoners, and every member of the cast has a target on their back. But with Homelander now sitting at the head of his totalitarian authority, and Billy Butcher’s resistance willing to sacrifice themselves for the cause, who will emerge victorious? Or will the final battle be one nobody walks away from? All will be revealed when the final season hits Prime Video in 2026.
The Boys Season 5 – The Final Season brings the war to a head on Prime Video on April 8.
