RELEASE
What a phenomenal collection of character posters. Bringing Street Fighter to life is a daunting challenge. But with this all-star ensemble cast, Legendary, Capcom, and Paramount are pulling out all the stops to make it a faithful adaptation of the classic arcade game. In truth, the characters all appear to be loyal to their in-game counterparts, which will come as a relief to the legions of Street Fighter fans around the world. After all, despite its impressive cast, the 1995 adaptation was a woeful attempt to bring these characters to the screen. But based on these character posters, I’d say our fears can be laid to rest…because these characters look awesome!
Either way, with this impressive cast and some incredibly vibrant production value, the film is on course to shoot straight to the top of our Fall watchlist. And that is pretty exciting!
Street Fighter will unleash Hadoukens and roundhouses in cinemas on October 16, 2026.
