It’s Monday, so this means it’s time for a new episode of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. After a successful season 2 premiere, the series continues to expand on the My Hero Academia universe and keeps fans entertained. The new episode premieres today on Crunchyroll.

BACK IN ACTION

The season 2 premiere of My Hero Academia Vigilantes was fun and lighthearted. It was a time to reconnect with our favourite characters, introduce new ones, and set the stage for what comes next. This week, things take a different turn. Indeed, this is an action-packed episode from start to finish. It’s quite literally an explosive ride. The action scenes are intense and thrilling. Even though Koichi and Pop are not the focus of this episode, they do share some pleasant moments that further develop their bond. It’s going to be interesting to see where their bond leads them. The seeds are definitely planted for the road ahead. But staying true to character, Koichi always finds a way bring some humour into every situation.

FAT GUM & MONIKA KANIYASHIKI

Last week, the series introduced two characters, Monika Kaniyashiki (Kaniko) and Fat Gum. Monika is an overconfident undercover cop. She also happens to have a quirk – scissors. As for Fat Gum, My Hero Academia fans already know him as he’s been part of the original series since season 4. But this is his debut in Vigilantes. The character himself is a fun concept. He looks like an egg, and his quirk is fat absorption; when he’s skinny, he’s a hot, sexy guy. They are really different characters, but it’s a duo that works. In fact, these two are the spotlight of this episode. Story-wise, it was a wise choice to introduce them in the previous episode before giving them their big moment this week. Obviously, it is always a pleasure to see characters from My Hero Academia appear in this spinoff. Fat Gum is definitely a character that fits with the tone of this series.

After a lighthearted season 2 premiere, My Hero Academia Vigilantes delivers an action-packed episode, giving the spotlight to Fat Gum and Monika Kaniyashiki.
