My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON - TV Review

“My Hero Academia is back for an explosive final season. The season premiere is non-stop action with high stakes.”

Earlier this year, the world of My Hero Academia expanded with the adaptation of the spin-off manga My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, which focuses on a different group of characters. Now it’s time to join Deku in his final fight. My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON premieres today on Crunchyroll, new episodes release every Saturday.

ALL MIGHT VS ALL FOR ONE

Right from the first scene, it sets the tone – the situation is critical. Indeed, the stakes are at their highest as the heroes are fighting a final battle against the villains across Japan. This episode focuses on the big fight between Armoured All Might and All For One. From start to finish, it’s non-stop action; the intensity is off the charts. Undoubtedly, it’s a mesmerizing battle that will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. It seems like an impossible victory for All Might; he no longer has a quirk, and his only weapon is an armour with lots of gadgets. That armour with all these gadgets reminds me of a mix between Batman and Iron Man; they take inspiration from the best.

All Might with an armour is badass. Even though All For One is overpowered, Armoured All Might is full of surprises and delivers the spectacle we want to see! This is how you start a season: it’s explosive and gets you invested right from the start. It’s going to be sad to say goodbye to all these beloved characters, but you can be sure My Hero Academia will go out with a bang and will have a memorable final season. With just one episode, you can already tell this season won’t disappoint, whether you have read the manga or not.

VISUALS & SOUNDTRACK

Because this is a season premiere, you don’t get the usual credits. For this one, the opening credits are featured at the end. The theme song is ‘The Revo’ by Porno Graffitti. This means you’ll have to wait next week to hear the end theme ‘I’ by Bump of Chicken. That being said, the composer Yuki Hayashi is back, and he goes hard with the score. It’s an epic score that matches the intensity of the fight and the gravity of the situation. As for the visuals, they are of the same quality as those in the previous seasons. The animation is beautiful and transports you right into the action.

VERDICT

My Hero Academia is back for an explosive final season. The season premiere is non-stop action with high stakes. It will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time!
