From the producer of Bone Tomahawk, the gritty new western, Frontier Crucible, is dismounting its horse to shoot onto home entertainment.
I love a good western. There’s nothing like sitting down during the day, at anytime, to watch them ride the range. Also, they take on the baddies (whoever they may be), get the girl, and mostly ride off into the sunset. These films range from the early John Wayne efforts. Many of those run for an hour. There are also the Oscar-winning Dances With Wolves and Unforgiven. In addition, I also like a horror western, such as Bone Tomahawk and the supernatural High Plains Drifter. That last one is one of my favourites of all time. Now, we have a new western to get to grips with.
The tense and gritty new western, Frontier Crucible, from the producer of Bone Tomahawk, is riding in from the range. It will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital platforms from 2nd February. The film stars Myles Clohessy, Armie Hammer, Mary Stickley, William H. Macy and Thomas Jane. In addition, based on the trailer, which can be seen below, the film looks to be a gripping and exciting entry into the genre.

PREMISE
From the producer of Bone Tomahawk comes a gritty, uncompromising new thriller set in the wild, untamed west…
On the frontier of the Arizona Territory in 1874, a desperately needed wagon full of medical supplies falls victim to an Apache attack. The only man who can guide it through to its destination is Merrick Beckford, but in order to get there, he’ll need to enlist the help of a trio of dangerous outlaws hell-bent on survival. When they accidentally kill an Apache scout, all bets are off, and survival is the name of the game.
Frontier Crucible is a gripping, tense and unflinching new western with a breakout lead performance from Myles Clohessy, also starring Armie Hammer, Mary Stickley, Ryan Masson, William H. Macy and Thomas Jane. From director Travis Mills, the film is based on the 1961 novel Desert Stake-Out by Harry Whittington.
