The New Trailer for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 unleashes Godzilla’s rampage, and Kong battling the awe-inspiring Titan X – streaming on February 27.
Look out, MonsterVerse fans, because there’s a new trailer for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2, and it’s monstrous. The series makes its triumphant return to Apple TV on Friday, February 27, and with the clock ticking down to release, the new trailer is here to unleash the titan carnage.
With Cate Randa opening a rift to the Hollow Earth, she has inadvertently unleashed a colossal new titan, far bigger than both Godzilla and Kong. Now, Randa and Lee Shaw face a race against time to stop this colossus before it wreaks havoc on our world. But with Kong and Godzilla rising to challenge, Titan X may have bitten off more than it can chew. But don’t take my word for it. Strap in and watch the new teaser trailer below.
SYNOPSIS
Season two unleashes Kong, Godzilla and the debut of “Titan X,” expanding Legendary’s Monsterverse alongside stars Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett and Anders Holm.
In addition to Kong, season two will feature Godzilla and introduce a new Titan: the enigmatic Titan X, now officially on the loose. Titan X isn’t just another monster; it’s a living cataclysm. When its massive bioluminescent form breaks the surface of the ocean, the world seems to hold its breath. In “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” season two, Titan X stands at the centre of the mystery – an ancient force emerging from the deep, its purpose uncertain, its power unmatched, its awe and terror in equal measure. Additional season two guest stars include Takehiro Hira, Amber Midthunder, Curtiss Cook, Cliff Curtis, Dominique Tipper and Camilo Jiménez Varón.
Season two will pick up with the fate of Monarch – and the world – hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea. The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe – all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon.

REVIEW
After our first look at the series, I was blown away by its epic scale and production value. In my initial thoughts, I said, “Fear not, MonsterVerse fans, because MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS is a revelation. It boasts standout performances from its cast, a compelling storyline, and adds some much-needed gravitas to the MonsterVerse as a whole. Although the series utilizes some of the franchise’s biggest stars, this story is about the incredible individuals responsible for creating Monarch as a whole. An additional focus is the fabric of the entity itself. What we are rewarded with is a gloriously compelling series that is rich in story, light on disappointment, and colossal in monster action. And it all starts on familiar territory.” Read my review here.

RELEASE
What a phenomenal new trailer. Kurt Russell was one of the jewels in the first season’s crown, so it is fantastic to see the veteran actor bringing his wealth of talent back for another outing. Where his storyline will take him in season 2 remains to be seen. But with Godzilla rampaging across the globe, and Kong taking the fight to Titan X, the second season is a shoo-in to deliver another Russel masterclass. Plus, with the series leading into the events of Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, fans will be watching with glee in the hope to learn more about the colossal sequel. Exciting times ahead!
The 10-episode second season of “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” will premiere globally on Apple TV on Friday, February 27, 2026, with the first episode, followed by one episode every Friday until May 1, 2026.
