Scream 7 will feature original songs from top artists, including Jessie Murph and Ice Nine Kills. It will feature star McKenna Grace, with more to be announced.
Every movie, no matter what genre it is, needs a great soundtrack. Whether it’s something that just needs a score and no songs, one that relies on strong song choice, or one that combines the two, a film isn’t anything without music. The great news is that Marco Beltrami has returned to score Scream 7 for the first time since scoring the first four movies. He takes over from Brian Tyler. Brian Tyler composed the score for the last two films. But, of course, the Scream films are synonymous with a terrific collection of songs. These songs enhance the blood, gore, and storytelling on screen. And the new film is no exception.
Throughout February, the film’s original songs will be released. The artists for these songs include Jessie Murph, Stella Lefty, Sueco, and Ice Nine Kills, with a song that features star McKenna Grace. Ice Nine Kills have unveiled an announcement video about their collaboration with McKenna Grace, which you can see below:

THE PREMISE
When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realised as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past. She needs to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.

The new movie is directed by the franchise’s creator, Kevin Williamson, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Guy Busick, from a story by James Vanderbilt and Busick. After the success of the sixth film in the series, we all expected to see the sequel in cinemas sooner. Of course, things never pan out the way you expect. After the firing of Melissa Barrera, the departure of Jenna Ortega, and the departures of Scream (2022) and Scream VI directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, Christopher Landon stepped in. However, he decided to walk away as well.
Now, all eyes rest on Williamson and his ability to bring this new chapter of the long-running slasher movie series to the screen. If anyone knows how to handle the property, it is he. Who better to deliver a cut above the usual slasher sequel fare than the creator himself? Can he pull it off? Could he deliver the quintessential Scream sequel? Will he manage to bring the franchise back to its bloodthirsty best?
