This week’s main releases in cinemas come in the shape of How To Make A Killing and Reminders Of Him, alongside some smaller releases.
Get ready for the second week of March’s newest cinema releases. Hitting screens this week is the new Glen Powell comedic thriller, How To Make A Killing, and the movie adaptation of the novel of the same name, Reminders Of Him. With nine other films opening this week in smaller release, there’s plenty for all cinephiles to enjoy and be entertained by.
HOW TO MAKE A KILLING
Studio Canal-Â Released Wednesday 11th March
Synopsis: Disowned by his obscenely wealthy family, Becket Redfellow will stop at nothing to reclaim his inheritance, no matter how many relatives stand in his way.
Cast: Glen Powell, Margaret Qualley, Jessica Henwick, Adrian Luki
Director: John Patton Ford
Cert: 15
We saw the film last week. Our reviewer, Phil Roberts, enjoyed the film, despite its faults, saying:
“Overall, despite its faults, How To Make A Killing is a delightful slice of killer cinema. Although the film never becomes more than the sum of its parts, they more than make up for any disappointment. Margaret Qualley and Jessica Henwick deliver mesmerising performances, Emile Mosseri conjures a retro throwback soundtrack, and Todd Banhazl’s gorgeous cinematography makes the film one of the most vibrant of the year so far.”

Sadly, we haven’t had a chance to check out the film yet, but after the movie version of Regretting You, fans of the novel will lap it up without a doubt.

Our editor, Phil Roberts, saw the film earlier this week. Although his review of the film is not available at this time, Phil did say:
“Silvio Soldini’s #TheTasters is a haunting and tense retelling of the traumas endured by Adolf Hitler’s meal tasters.
Filled with dread, anxiety and heartbreak, it’s a harrowing tale. Expertly crafted and beautifully shot, the film is a poignant slice of wartime history.”
